Course Description
Anyone who wants to renew their IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certified Standards Expert (CSE) Certification must take this two (2) days IPC/WHMA-A-620 Standard Expert Certification. To maintain your 24-month certification, you must re-certify before your certification expires. To enhance an individual’s skill and ability to distinguish between acceptable and unacceptable printed boards, IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certified Standards Expert (CSE) Certification training aims all three classes for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies.
A certificate must be renewed every 24 months. IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certified Standards Expert (CSE) Certification can complete a recertification Training Course within six months before the expiration of the certificate.
Certification
After the Course fulfilment, trainees will be subjected to open and closed book written examinations. Prospects for CSE certification must complete three exams:
1) The Enhanced Policy and Procedures Exam,
2) General Knowledge Exam
3) Standard Endorsement Exam.
The General Knowledge Exam consists of 30 multiple-choice questions. It is a closed-book test. The 70 multiple-choice questions on the Standard-Specific exam are open-book. A candidate must finish the exam within two and a half hours.
This Course of IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certified Standards Expert (CSE) Certification valid for two (2) years is awarded to students who complete this Course. An appropriate recertification course for Certified Standards Expert (CSE) who have previously achieved their Certified Standards Expert (CSE) certification within the last two years is available to students who have achieved their CSE certification.

Module 1 – IPC/WHMA-A-620C General content, applicable documents, wire preparation, measuring, and testing
All of the content that applies to other sections of the document, lists of applicable documents, and electronic assemblies should be included in this module.

Module 2 – IPC/WHMA-A-620C Crimping and Insulation Displacement
The Wire and cable Connections knowledge module include process requirements and acceptability restrictions for wire and cable connections performed by crimping and Insulation Displacement Connectors.

Module 3 – IPC/WHMA-A-620C Soldered Terminals and High Voltage
Process and acceptability requirements must be met for wire and cable connections made by soldering and those connections used in a high voltage assembly.

Module 4 – IPC/WHMA-A-620C Connectorization, Molding and Potting
It is the process requirements and acceptability requirements for wire and cable connections installed into various connectors and mouldings and potting.

The wire and cable assembly knowledge module includes process requirements and acceptability considerations for coaxial cables.

Ultrasonic welding or solderless wrap connections can result in wire and cable assemblies that require process requirements and acceptability restrictions all are outlined in this knowledge module.
