RECERTIFICATION IPC/WHMA-A-620 CERTIFIED IPC TRAINER (CIT)

Course Description

Anyone who wants to renew their IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certified IPC Trainer (CIT) Certification must take this two (2) days IPC/WHMA-A-620 Instructor Certification. To maintain your 24-month certification, you must re-certify before your certification expires. To enhance an individual’s skill and ability to distinguish between acceptable and unacceptable printed boards, IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certified IPC Trainer (CIT) Certification training aims all three classes of electronic assemblies.

A certificate must be renewed every 24 months. IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certified IPC Trainer (CIT) Certification can complete a recertification Training Course within six months before the expiration of the certificate.

Certification

After completing the Course, students will take open book written examinations and be required to perform acceptable rework and repairs based on IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certified IPC Trainer (CIT) Certification. A student who have successfully completed this Course is rewarded with an IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certified IPC Trainer (CIT) Certification that stays Valid for Two(2) Years. Students who have previously earned their Certified IPC Trainer (CIT) certification within the last two years may take part in a relevant recertification course/ training.

Module 1 – IPC/WHMA-A-620C General content, applicable documents, wire preparation, measuring, and testing

This module contains content that applies to all other sections of the document, a listing of applicable documents, and the handling of electronic assemblies.

Module 2 – IPC/WHMA-A-620C Crimping and Insulation Displacement

This knowledge module contains process requirements and acceptability requirements for wire and cable connections made by crimping and those made by Insulation Displacement Connectors.

Module 3 – IPC/WHMA-A-620C Soldered Terminals and High Voltage

This knowledge module contains process requirements and acceptability requirements for wire and cable connections made by soldering and those connections used in a high voltage assembly.

Module 4 – IPC/WHMA-A-620C Connectorization, Molding and Potting

This knowledge module contains process requirements and acceptability requirements for wire and cable connections installed into various connectors and molding and potting.

This knowledge module contains process requirements and acceptability requirements for wire and cable requiring splices.

This knowledge module contains process requirements and acceptability requirements for wire and cable assembly marking, securing, shielding and finishing.

Module 7 – IPC/WHMA-A-620C Coaxial Cables

Module 8 – IPC/WHMA-A-620C Ultrasonic Welding and Solderless wrap

This knowledge module contains process requirements and acceptability requirements for wire and cable assemblies made using ultrasonic welding or solderless wrap connections.
